2021 Seckinger ‘R Chardonnay Pur’

Region: Pfalz, Germany
Grape: Chardonnay
Vineyard/Cellar Stats: Certified organic/practicing biodynamic farming; limestone and red sandstone soils; whole cluster; spontaneous free run juice fermentation in 225l German Oak Barrique for 10 months, without temperature control. No filtration and gravity natural decant; wine and lees are transferred to large neutral barrels to rest before bottling, unfined/unfiltered, with minimal added SO2; 12% ABV

• Biodynamic German Chardonnay inspired by the natural Chablis and Jura Chards, with  little to no wood influence -- the polar opposite of Butter!
• Fruit comes from two famous vineyards, Reiterpfad Grand Cru + two Premier Cru vineyards of Linsenbusch and Nußbien
• Bone dry, hazy and savory, with ripe lime and pineapple acidity, lime zest, green herbs and crazy minerality
• Tastes like a limey margarita on the rocks!
