Made by Scott Schultz of Jolie-Laide fame, this is skin-contact Pinot Gris (Gris = French for gray, referring to the color of the grape skins, which is actually more red than gray, but whatever, the point is that the darker skins give the wine it's beautiful rosy color). Scott foot-stomped the grapes then let the juice rest on the skins for 3 days to get all pretty in pink, with a lush texture and elegance that make this wine as appropriate poured into a fancy glass as it is on a picnic blanket.
