- Woman co-winemaker + co-owner -- Valeria Franco!
- From super high-altitude vineyards on the northern slopes of Sicily’s epic volcano, where the couple's 4 hectares of vines live happily among olive, nut and lemon trees
- Named after Giuseppe’s grandpa Don Pippinu who passed away in 2005, and inspired them to work the vines and make the wine just like he did: with minimum intervention and zero chemistry.
- Nerello Mascalese is the Southern Italian equivalent of Nebbiolo -- high acid and tannin, low pigment, late ripening and super ageworthy
- Light-bodied, juicy and flinty, with savory minerals, sour red cherry, rose petals and oregano
- Nice with a light chill! And good with fish -- the rare fish-friendly red!
