While it’s color is decidedly orange, this is not a rosé gone rogue. This is skin contact white wine (white grapes that are fermented on the skins), from my friend Jordan Kivelstadt, an awesome young dude who also founded the company FreeFlow (wine on tap). Unlike most white wine, which is pressed off of the skins immediately, this wine sits on the skins for 75% of fermentation, giving it texture, structure and tannins. It’s unfiltered, native yeast, low sulfur (all unusual in CA) and extremely delicious. Stands up to strong flavors – try with a Ceasar salad or a nice piece of tuna.
