For ‘the bird’, Sam was inspired by the ubiquitous and eminently drinkable house wines of Italy, which are usually light, fresh, aromatic, and structured just enough to pair with whatever nonna made for dinner. It’s a field blend of Italian varietals that offers something for everyone – juicy and herbaceous, with black cherries, wild strawberries, thyme, olives, some dirt, and a touch of orange peel. It’s starts off bright and easy before the seriousness kicks in with a hit of acid and tannin on the finish. A dreamy and versatile food red
