The winery and vineyards of Nada Giuseppe are situated in Treiso, one of the four villages in the Barbaresco D.O.C.G. zone and their Dolcetto grapes hail from the Casot cru, one of the oldest and most well-known. Casot and vineyards like it are usually reserved for Nebbiolo in order to make the more expensive Barbaresco, but the Nada family is at it again. Similar to their Nebbiolo rosé we featured last winter, we find an everyday wine made from top quality fruit – but what an everyday wine it is! Packed with floral notes like violets and roses (just like a Nebbiolo in fact) and loads of fruit that knows its place- there’s nothing fat about this wine that is for sure. At just 12.5% alcohol it comes across as downright pretty, and sooo drinkable – a perfect weekday warrior!
