Another wine from the husband/wife team of Complemen’terre, the new project from the son of legendary Muscadet producer Jo Landron, Manu, and his wife. This is 100% Melon de Bourgogne from a one-hectare parcel gifted to the couple from Marion’s parents. It’s technically in the Muscadet appellation but they don’t consider it typical and feel the powers that be wouldn’t either, so they bucked the appellation system and went Vin de France with a made-up name instead of Muscadet. No SO2 is added, and the wine ages in neutral oak, producing a wine that is richer and rounder than your typical Muscadet. Notes of ripe yellow peach and mango, and a backbone of minerality make this a fantastic pairing for richer seafood, poultry and veggie dishes.
