Winemaker: Maria GenoveseIn the Sicilian dialect, “Nica” means small, which perfectly describes everything about this biodynamic husband-and-wife estate in Sicily. Daniele and Maria’s vineyards are located in Messina District, overlooking the Aeolian Islands, within the Mamertino DOC. Their wines are handcrafted and produced with organic and biodynamic methods; always keeping in mind the respect of nature. Their wines are
artisanal products with vintage variation because every plant and every year is different … and this is exactly what makes their cellar unique.
While pale pink in color, this rosato has an intense aroma of strawberry, raspberry and rose. On the palate it's refreshing, juicy watermelon and savory herbs (thyme and sage) with vibrant salinity and zippy acid on the finish. Pair with goat cheese or any funky cheese, artichokes or anything seafood/fried/veggie-driven. A super versatile and interesting rose for the sunny days ahead.
