Massimo Gregorio’s story is a common one throughout Italy – his family has been making wine at this estate for centuries (since 1730 in this case). However, it was the new generation, (Massimo) that realized the land’s potential and set about improving the quality of the estate, turning all of the agriculture to organic and focusing on indigenous varietals rather than the international grapes planted in the 80’s. Light ruby in color, with raspberry, rose and bright red fruit, this one is great with a light chill. So delicious, straightforward (and inexpensive), it’s tempting to guzzle the bottle. Excellent with pizza.
